Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
1. What PlaceReveal is for
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with PlaceReveal (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every image you upload and every Output you generate.
PlaceReveal helps you preview design changes to your own home from photographs — repainting, restyling, furnishing, and renovation visualizations for interiors and exteriors. It is intended for homeowners and renters previewing changes to a home they live in or have the right to modify or photograph.
PlaceReveal is not a tool for editing people. We do not offer, and the Service is not designed to perform, face swapping, deepfake generation, likeness generation, body or face modification, or any other manipulation of a person's appearance or identity. The custom prompt feature is scoped to changes to a home and its contents. Attempting to use it to alter, insert, or remove identifiable people is a violation of this policy.
2. Content you may not upload or generate
We do not allow NSFW, explicit, or sexually suggestive content generation, and we do not allow harmful content generation of any kind. In particular, you may not use the Service to upload, generate, or distribute:
- NSFW, sexual, or adult content of any kind, including nudity, sexually suggestive imagery, and pornography.
- Any content involving or depicting minors in a sexual, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate context. We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
- Violence, gore, or content that promotes, glorifies, or incites harm, terrorism, or self-harm.
- Hateful, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory content, including content targeting a person or group on the basis of a protected characteristic.
- Content depicting or facilitating illegal goods, services, or activity.
- Content that infringes another party's intellectual property, trade-mark, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Images of identifiable people uploaded without the consent required by law, or any attempt to alter, impersonate, or fabricate a person's likeness — including deepfakes and face swaps.
- Malware, or content designed to compromise the Service or the systems of others.
3. Honest use of Outputs
PlaceReveal produces design visualizations, not professional or structural guarantees, and not photographs of your home's actual current condition.
You may not present an Output as though it were an unaltered photograph, or use it to misrepresent your home's actual condition to an insurer, lender, appraiser, contractor, or permitting or inspection authority. If you later sell or list the property, any Output you share with a prospective buyer or their agent must be clearly labeled as a design visualization rather than a photograph of the property's current condition.
4. Platform abuse
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the Service or its underlying models.
- Circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or access controls, including through automated means or multiple accounts.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service, or use it to build a directly competing product.
- Use the Service in a way that breaches applicable law.
5. How we enforce this policy
Uploads and generation requests are subject to automated content moderation, and we may review content manually where a violation is suspected or reported. Depending on severity, we may block a request, remove content, suspend or terminate an account with or without notice, and report unlawful content to the appropriate authorities. Credits are not refunded for accounts terminated for a violation of this policy.
To report content or an account that you believe violates this policy, write to [email protected]. If your account was actioned and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the same address and we will review it.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service and the law evolve. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice.
